The Transformations in the manga are quite sudden. I liked Trunks's transformation against Freeza. I like the slow, almost step-by-step transformation. First the ki flow starts, and then the hair stands up, his eyes change, and then finally, his hair and aura turn yellow. Goku had a similar one against 19. My favorite though was probably Goku's SSj3 transformation from Fusion Reborn.
	The vengeance is her's for as long as she stands by Him.

It was the first one of the series, there was by far the most build up to it (with Vegeta's talk of super saiyans and all), and it had by far the most impact in the series. My personal favorite is easily Gohan's SSJ2 transformation, probably my single most favorite moment in the series.
